Job Summary:
MLB & Associates, hiring for our client, who’s been in business since 1978, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented assistant office manager. This role combines administrative support with financial management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in bookkeeping software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Preference given to individuals with experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) QuickBooks (Desktop) QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks Inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other communications.
- Scanning documents to PDF.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
- Manage office supplies and ensure smooth office operations.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the VP and office manager
- Provide back up support for shipping department (Learn the UPS system)
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate records in bookkeeping software (QuickBooks)
- Support VP and office manager as needed
Benefits/compensation:
· Hourly rate--$16/hr (with the $20 meal allowance, equals 18.50/ hr for 8 hour day) Overtime for anything over 40 per week
