Assistant Principal, Secondary School - Future Position

Anticipated for the 2024-2025 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree
* Texas Mid-Management or Principal certification
* Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
* Five (5) years experience as a classroom teacher
* One (1) year leadership role
SKILLS:
* Thorough understanding of school operations
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to coordinate campus support operations
Primary Purpose / Responsibilities:
* Assist the school principal in the overall administration of instructional programs and campus-level operations
* Serve as principal for the assigned academy of teachers and students
* Participate in the development and evaluation of educational programs
* Promote a positive, caring climate for learning
* Participate in the development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members
* Supervise operations in the principal's absence
* Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable
* Conduct conferences on students and school issues with parents, students, and teachers
Works a 212-day calendar
Salary is based upon previous experience
