Join GAAMHA as an Assistant Program Director – Ripple Effect Peer Recovery Support Center!
Location: Leominster, MA
Are you ready to help redefine community support? GAAMHA’s Ripple Effect Peer Recovery Support Center (PRSC) is seeking a passionate, organized, and community-driven Assistant Program Director (APD) to help lead daily operations, uplift our vibrant member community, and strengthen our impact in the greater Leominster area.
At Ripple Effect PRSC, we believe recovery is possible for everyone — and that peer support, meaningful connection, and community integration can spark real and lasting change. As APD, you’ll work side-by-side with the Program Director, staff, volunteers, and members to ensure the center runs smoothly, activities reflect our members’ voices, and the spirit of recovery and dignity is visible in everything we do.
What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain engaging weekly and monthly activity schedules rooted in members’ ideas and choices.
Coordinate all logistics to keep activities safe, meaningful, and rewarding — from supplies and facilitators to off-site trips and special events.
Create and share clear, welcoming activity calendars in print and online; post at the center, send by email, and update our website and social media.
Build authentic relationships with members every day, creating a space where everyone feels valued and encouraged to participate.
Cultivate partnerships with local organizations and supporters to grow awareness and strengthen our ties within the community.
Collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator and Peer Leadership Team on creative outreach and storytelling efforts that showcase our real impact.
Represent Ripple Effect PRSC and GAAMHA at community events and meetings, always modeling our values of respect, empathy, and community integration.
Participate in all required training and team meetings to expand your knowledge and strengthen our services.
Step in where needed to keep the center thriving, as assigned by the Program Director.
What You Bring
Personal experience in long-term recovery (one year or more) from a substance use disorder.
Experience in office administration, program coordination, or a similar role where organization and people skills shine.
Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with tools like Canva or Photoshop.
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic outreach or marketing is a plus.
A warm, welcoming approach when working with people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
