Job Description - Assistant Program Manager (Nevada)


Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.


We are seeking a qualified Assistant Program Manager to support facility planning and infrastructure programming at Creech AFB. The Programmer will develop and manage construction and maintenance project requirements, ensuring alignment with mission-critical objectives and federal standards.


Key Responsibilities:


·       Develop complete project programming documents for O&M, Military Construction (MILCON), Family Housing, and other facility programs.


·       Evaluate client proposals and conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, and site surveys.


·       Coordinate projects with architects, engineers, planners, and government agencies.


·       Prepare documentation for congressional and higher HQ project approvals, including cost estimates and funding justification.


·       Track project status, resolve funding/scheduling conflicts, and ensure timely updates.


·       Utilize CADD, PACES, RSMeans, and other government-approved software to create reliable estimates and design documents. Stay abreast of emerging tools and technologies.


·       Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.


·       Prepare and deliver briefings to leadership and stakeholders.


 


Qualifications to be successful in the role:


·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited institution


·       Minimum 4 years of DoD programming experience within the last 10 years OR 4 years of project development and cost estimating experience in the U.S.


·       Proficient in CADD, RSMeans, PACES, and project tracking software.


·       Strong understanding of Air Force project development and cost estimation processes is preferred.


·       Must be willing to complete required AFIT courses (WMGT 322, WMGT 422, WENG 200, WENG 400) unless already certified.
