Over four decades of delivering exceptional commercial and luxury residential projects has built us a reputation that stands firmly on quality, reliability, and uncompromised excellence.

At the heart of everything we do is GRIT — Growth, Resourcefulness, Integrity, and Team. We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager who brings that same standard to supporting project execution and team success. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, you’ll be a strong fit for this role.

  • 401(k) plan with company matching

  • Paid Time Off + company holidays

  • Ongoing Training & Development opportunities

  • A team that genuinely invests in your growth — not just your output

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll partner closely with Project Managers, Project Administrators, and Field Teams to support the successful planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects.

  • Read, understand, and adhere to owner contracts

  • Help manage project budgets, plans, specifications, and schedules using Procore

  • In the absence of a Project Administrator:

    • Assist with subcontract and purchase order preparation, distribution, and tracking

    • Coordinate with Accounting to verify insurance coverage and licensing requirements

  • Attend project meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes

  • Create and track project documentation including Notices to Comply, Safety Notices, Field Work Directives, and Events impacting cost, schedule, or safety

  • Support the preparation and submission of Owner pay applications and subcontractor payment requests; escalate issues as needed

  • Assist with negotiating changes to contracts and managing project documentation related to changes, including:

    • PCOs, CORs, PCCOs, CCAs, ACAs, DPOs

    • Bonds, submittals, RFIs, and warranties

  • Code invoices and submit per Accounting procedures

  • Assist with punch list development and project closeout activities

  • Help ensure projects are closed out within 30 days of substantial completion and final inspection (including financial closeout)

  • Maintain strong client communication and support overall client satisfaction

  • Promote and uphold project safety and quality standards

What You Need to Bring

  • 3+ years of relevant construction experience

  • OSHA 10 certification

  • Strong working knowledge of construction documentation and project coordination

  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of related construction experience

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • First Aid and CPR certification

  • Experience supporting financial tracking, change management, and project closeout processes

Physical Requirements

Built on GRIT

At Hedrick Brothers Construction, you won’t just support projects — you’ll help deliver the quality, consistency, and excellence that define our reputation. You’ll collaborate with experienced teams across Florida and play a key role in bringing complex projects to life.
