Assistant Project Manager – Construction (REO Assets)

South Brooklyn, NY | $75,000 – $85,000 + Benefits


About the Opportunity


Our client is a growing construction company specializing in the renovation, rehabilitation, and management of REO (Real Estate Owned) assets throughout the New York City area. They are seeking a Project Manager who is eager to learn, willing to roll up their sleeves, and excited to grow alongside ownership.


This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with construction project management experience—or an emerging PM looking to take the next step in their career. What You'll Do




  • Manage construction projects from initial bid through final completion




  • Visit project sites regularly throughout Brooklyn and surrounding boroughs




  • Conduct site walks and assess project scope, timelines, and requirements




  • Assist with preparing estimates, budgets, and pricing for renovation projects




  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries




  • Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are met




  • Track project costs and help maintain profitability targets




  • Work closely with ownership on project planning, execution, and reporting




  • Maintain communication with clients, vendors, inspectors, and stakeholders




  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards




  • Help identify and resolve issues before they impact project timelines




What We're Looking For




  • 1–5+ years of construction, renovation, property maintenance, or project management experience




  • Experience with residential, multifamily, REO, rehab, restoration, or general contracting projects is highly preferred




  • Comfortable working both in the field and in the office




  • Ability to read construction plans, scopes of work, and project specifications




  • Strong organizational and time management skills




  • Excellent communication and follow-through




  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously




  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented




  • Valid driver's license preferred




  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization

Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:
