Job Description - Assistant Receptionist - Immediate Start

Position Overview: We are seeking a professional and personable candidate for a Receptionist position in Houston, TX. The Receptionist will play a key role in welcoming visitors, receiving deliveries, sorting mail, and assisting with various administrative tasks as needed. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and interact with high-level executives.
Assignment Type: Temp to Hire.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Pay Rate: $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors to the suite in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Receive and sign for deliveries, including packages from UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
  • Sort incoming mail from the building mailbox, distribute to appropriate recipients, and organize by department or division.
  • Perform other administrative duties as time permits, such as filing, data entry, and assisting with special projects.
  • Responsible for incoming mail sorting and processing.
Required Skills/Attributes:
  • Positive attitude and helpful demeanor, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role, preferably in a corporate environment (1-3 years).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with visitors and executives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Skills/Attributes:
  • Outgoing personality and proactive approach to assisting visitors and team members.
  • Previous experience in mailroom operations or administrative support roles.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phone systems, copiers, and printers.

Pay Details: $16.72 to $22.75 per hour
