Assistant Residential Home Supervisor (Full-Time)

What you’ll do

Working in one of our residential homes alongside the Home Supervisor, you'll help manage staff training and development. Additionally, you’ll mentor boys ages 14-18, join in recreational activities, and create a warm, loving home for teens who need a refuge.

We won’t sugarcoat this. Some days are going to be tough. Those in our care have been abused and neglected, have histories of mental health challenges, and some are involved in the juvenile justice system. Their trauma is real. They’re short on trust and sometimes quick to anger. They’re not used to caring adults who show up day after day.

But you will. You were built for this.

Hours: 4 weekdays and every other weekend, rotating between 1st and 2nd shift

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be at least 20 years of age.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • At least one year of residential treatment experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with adult learners preferred, and at least one year teaching/training experience required.
  • Computer skills working with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Additional education and/or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising at risk youth is preferred.
  • Ability to pivot, bend, twist and stoop while bearing weight of individuals served.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. non-stationary weight through the approved technique is required.
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objective of the agency.
