Job Description - Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

Saucon Valley Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our Food & Beverage leadership team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality-driven professional with a passion for service, team development, and operational excellence.

Working under the guidance of the Director of Restaurants, the Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a key role in day-to-day operations, staff supervision, service training, and the creation of unique and memorable member experiences. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily restaurant operations while maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness.
     
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to align service with menu vision and member preferences.
     
  • Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring, scheduling, and evaluating front-of-house service staff.
     
  • Ensure smooth opening and closing of outlet(s) each day, following standard operating procedures.
     
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and recognition to foster continued growth.
     
  • Lead daily service pre-shift meetings and ensure consistent communication across all shifts.
     
  • Oversee proper maintenance and functionality of POS systems and restaurant menus.
     
  • Manage inventory and ordering of service-related products and supplies.
     
  • Maintain accurate records including daily shift reports, staff attendance, and clock-in/out records.
     
  • Maintain compliance with all Club policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  •  2+ years of experience in food & beverage management, preferably in a private club, hotel, or fine dining setting
     
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
     
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service programs
     
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
     
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
     
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
