Assistant Service Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Service Manager in managing the service department’s operations, personnel, and customer service.


• Support the implementation of service standards and procedures to align with the dealership’s goals and objectives.


• Assist in training and developing service department staff to enhance their skills and performance.


• Monitors the progress of each repair order and communicates to service advisor and or customer about vehicles concerns


• Work closely with the store manager to run day-to-day operations.


• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.


• Ensures all compliance are answered and maintained on CARS (Claim Accountability and Reporting System).


• Hold bi-weekly department meetings.


• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.


• Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.


• Ensures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.


• Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds at a time.


• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.


• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.


• Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day.


• Must have good close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


• Must be available to work as needed.
