Job Description - Assistant Service Manager

Position Summary:


The Assistant Service Manager is responsible for supporting the Operations and Billing teams by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.


 


Hours:


Monday-Friday | 7:00am-3:30pm OR 8:00am-4:30pm


 


Responsibilities and Duties:


The Assistant Service Manager  is a great way to begin your career with T&J Companies because you will have the opportunity to support multiple lines of business and gain knowledge of our business, creating opportunities for growth.


 
The Assistant Service Manager Primary Responsibilities and Duties include:



  • Assisting multiple service managers with daily tasks such as:

    • Building and submitting proposals to clients

    • Coordinating service calls with customer sites

    • Ordering and scheduling rental equipment 

    • General administrative duties as they arise





Qualifications & Requirements:


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, One Drive) or related software

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing

  • Ability to work independently



Experience:



  • Experience working in a similar role is required

  • Knowledge of the Electrical / Facility Services industry is preferred


 


Education/Licensure/Certifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required


 


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer


 


Other Requirements:



  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Candidates must be willing to relocate before starting work as this position is required to be onsite Monday-Friday

  • Candidates must pass a drug test and background check prior to starting work


 


Compensation and Benefits:



  • $25-$28 per hour

  • 10 days paid vacation upon hire, additional time earned each year
