Role: Assistant Shift Supervisor
Shift: Monday to Friday 3PM to completion some Saturdays
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00/hour
Location: Bronx, NY

- Monitor and manage employee performance through coaching, training, motivation, and maintaining employee files

- Conduct interviews, train new hires on site-specific and role-specific duties, and demonstrate safe equipment operations and work procedures

- Enforce regulations related to safety, sanitation, housekeeping, and compliance.

- Direct and coordinate production staff activities, resolve worker problems, and ensure proper staffing of all productive areas

- Handle light administrative and technical tasks, and oversee plant operations, shipping and receiving operations

- Coordinate commodity shipments, manage ongoing facility destruction of products, and ensure quality control

- Prepare and send daily reports, including inbound/outbound logs, labor reports, physical inventory, compliance checklists, and pH logging

- Manage payroll controls and work hours, adhering to schedules and addressing employee time discrepancies

- Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions, with a focus on plastic, glass and aluminum bale quality

- Plan work schedules, production sequences

- Maintain consistent operations data, recommend personnel actions, and set up and adjust machines and equipment
