Assistant Site Foreman

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Assistant Site Foreman to join our client’s construction team in Jersey.

The successful candidate will support the Site Foreman with the day-to-day running of the site, helping to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, on time and to the required standard.

Applicants must be currently resident in Jersey and have the right to work in Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Foreman with the day-to-day management and coordination of the construction site.
  
  


• Supervise and coordinate trades, labourers and subcontractors as required.
  
  


• Ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  
  


• Monitor the quality and progress of work on site.
  
  


• Assist with organising labour, materials, plant and equipment.
  
  


• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and other members of the site team.
  
  


• Help ensure projects remain on schedule and within agreed specifications.
  
  


• Identify and report any issues, delays or site concerns to the Site Foreman.
  
  


• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  
  


• Assist with site inductions and ensuring site procedures are followed.
  
  


• Read and understand drawings, specifications and construction plans.
  
  


• Carry out regular checks to ensure work meets the required standards.
  
  


• Support the Site Foreman with general site administration and record keeping where required.
  
  


• Lead by example and maintain a professional approach at all times.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Site Foreman, Assistant Foreman, Supervisor or Senior Tradesperson position.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of construction site practices.
  
  


• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  
  


• The ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  
  


• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  
  


• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  
  


• A practical, hands-on approach to construction.
  
  


• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  
  


• The ability to work effectively with subcontractors, trades and site management.
  
  


• A full driving licence would be advantageous.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous construction experience.
  
  


• Supervisory or leadership experience.
  
  


• Good understanding of site health and safety.
  
  


• Must currently be resident in Jersey.
  
  


• Must have the right to work in Jersey.
