Assistant Site Manager

Position Summary

McDaniel Supply Company is seeking a dependable, organized, and people-focused Assistant Site Manager to support commissary and vending operations at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility in Spartanburg, SC.

The Assistant Site Manager works closely with the Site Manager to help coordinate daily operations, support and train staff, maintain inventory accuracy, ensure timely processing and delivery of commissary orders, and assist with vending operations. The position serves as a key point of operational support and helps maintain continuity when the Site Manager is unavailable.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who communicates effectively, demonstrates integrity and professionalism, and can balance employee supervision with the daily operational demands of a secure detention environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising, training, and supporting site employees.
• Support daily commissary order processing, accuracy, and delivery.
• Assist with inventory control, receiving, stocking, and reconciliation.
• Help maintain vending machines and manage product inventory.
• Monitor operational performance and ensure compliance with company and facility policies.
• Assist with customer inquiries, grievances, and issue resolution.
• Provide operational leadership in the Site Manager's absence.     

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous supervisory, warehouse, retail, inventory, or operations experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Correctional facility experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a secure facility environment.
