Assistant Store Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and help lead a team dedicated to excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing sales, inventory, staff supervision, and facility upkeep, while ensuring a positive and efficient customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening/closing procedures.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product knowledge.

Support team training, scheduling, and performance management.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure product displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and security standards.

Process transactions, manage cash handling, and ensure POS accuracy.

Help meet or exceed store sales goals through proactive customer engagement and upselling.

Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all team members.

Act as the manager-on-duty in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

2+ years of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service environment; supervisory experience is a plus.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
