General Summary:

Kessler’s is looking for late day shift Assistant Store Manager to work 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. We are seeking a motivated individual, with experience working in a fast-paced environment, to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and create a career in management. The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Director by leading the evening shift to transition to the overnight staff. The successful candidate will assist the Store Director with completing and overseeing the station store operations, including hiring, supervising, accomplishing daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring regular and predictable onsite attendance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Store Manager with oversight of Station store operations
• Assist in hiring new team members
• Supervising and training team members
• Ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and records
• Assist with managing store inventory and merchandising plans
• Step in for the Store Director, when needed, as the manager on duty
• Provide excellent customer service
• Other Duties as assigned

• Proven retail experience, preferably in a management role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to come in outside of scheduled hours when needed
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
• Pull/push with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
• Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands
