Job Description - Assistant Superintendent - Corrections Division

The primary function of the Assistant Superintendent is to assist with scheduling, coordination, and
supervision of craft employees and subcontractors on a project site. The Assistant Superintendent will
work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Review project documents including plans and specifications
Review all subcontracts and purchase orders
Understand the items of work
Become familiar with the scheduling requirements
Assist with managing and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers on the project
Handle daily project problems with assistance from Superintendent as required
Verify field dimensions when necessary
Review all submittals and keep them filed in an orderly fashion
Keep job site safe and clean
Keep office trailer and tool room/truck clean and orderly
Maintain equipment
Ensure that required equipment is on the project when needed
Assist in keeping track of change order work and extra work
Monitor and ensure that punch list items are completed in a timely manner
Assist with and attend weekly subcontractor meetings

Qualifications

2-5 years carpentry experience
Past leadership experience is preferred.
Computer skills are required
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Well-developed office management and organizational skills

Additional Information

Home office is located in Las Vegas, NV but travel will be required (several projects are currently taking place in California)
Work environment is a combination of outdoors and indoors
