Job Description - Assistant Teacher

About the Role:

Join The Learning Experience #262 as a Float Teacher, where you will play a vital role in nurturing young minds in a vibrant and supportive environment. This position is perfect for passionate educators looking to make a difference in the lives of children while collaborating with a dedicated team in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities:

Support lead teachers by assisting with lesson plans and classroom activities.

Engage with children in various age groups, fostering a love for learning.

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to lead teachers.

Facilitate play-based learning and hands-on activities.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student development.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.

Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and age groups.

CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Passion for early childhood education and child development.

Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.

Willingness to undergo background checks as required by state regulations.
