Job Summary

As an Assistant Teacher at Sunshine Academy, you'll help care for little ones. You'll provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child. 

Responsibilities

• Create and Implement lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels


• Document learning experience through displays and pictures


• Maintains positive informal and formal communications with families on daily basis


• Maintains a safe, comforting, and stimulating environment for toddlers


• Facilitate and maintains child care licensing standards


• Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast paced environment

Qualifications

• Strong Verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels with speaking to parents


• Energetic, nurturing, positive, and child-friendly personality


• Shows initiative, strong work ethic


• Complete Office of Early Learning Classes online


• Working towards completion of 45 hours from DCF
