Assistant Teacher, True Blue Neighbors, Youth Scholars Program

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with classroom instruction and supervision of students
• Assist with program attendance
• Support a safe, equitable, learning environment for students of all racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds
• Supervise outside and inside extra curricular activities
• Implement age-appropriate activities that support the academic development of students and meet the goals of the TBNYS program
• Help maintain a clean and organize learning environment
• Check classroom/program equipment to ensure they are in good condition
• Attend all required professional development and training opportunities
• Attend family engagement events and activities
• Maintain a positive attitude and work with others as a member of a team

Min Qualifications

• Experience working with children
• Computer literacy skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous K-we program experience
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
