Bright Kids Learning Academy is seeking (2) Floaters that are caring, responsive and supportive to children, parents and other staff members. This Bright Kids Learning Academy is located at 1943 West Blvd across from the Stratford Richardson YMCA and the newly under construction Atrium Medical Center. We are also located just up the street from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and the Charles H. Parker Academic Center. We embrace diversity, culture, and the developmental needs of all children.

Responsibilities
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Encourage children to interact appropriately with each other.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum.
- Operate to schedule and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a clean and compliant classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
- Utilize and or have NC Foundations experience working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Assistant Teacher/Floater for infants
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to facilitate play.
- Calm Demeanor, child and staff friendly, and very reliable
- SIDS Certification
- Certification in child CPR & First Aid
Job Type: Full-time/Part Time. Candidate must be flexible and willing to open and or closing of the center as needed.
Pay: 15.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 Hour Shift Monday - Friday
- Do you have a current DCDEE Criminal Clearance Letter to work with children?
- Education: An AAS or BS degree in education or relevant field with 12 EDU hours (Required)

Bright Kids Learning Academy was founded with the intent of providing a quality early childhood education that will prepare young scholars for future success.
Bright Kids Learning Academy will accomplish this goal by providing an age specific, project-based learning curriculum. In addition, Bright Kids focuses on training and equipping quality educators as well as engaging parents in the learning process.
We are proud to serve our families with children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age. We also offer after-school care for children in Kindergarten to fifth grade or children 5 to 12 years of age who attend schools within the area.

Our incredible teachers support a variety of learning styles in which they plan and set goals to guide children's experiences. This is accomplished by tapping into their social, emotional, cognitive, physical and creative domains.
