Assistant Used Car Manager

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Used Car Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the Used Car Manager in all aspects of the used vehicle department, ensuring efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the used vehicle inventory, including acquisition, reconditioning, pricing, and merchandising.
• Support the sales team in closing deals and achieving sales targets for used vehicles.
• Conduct market analysis to determine competitive pricing and inventory needs.
• Oversee the reconditioning process, ensuring vehicles meet quality standards and are ready for sale in a timely manner.
• Train, motivate, and mentor sales staff on used car product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to used vehicle sales.
• Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, procedures, and relevant automotive regulations.
• Prepare and analyze reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and profitability.
• Assist with trade-in appraisals and negotiations.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and foster positive customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive sales or management, with a strong focus on used vehicles.
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing inventory effectively.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in automotive dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM software.
• Solid understanding of market trends, vehicle valuation, and reconditioning processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in business or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working both indoors (office environment) and outdoors (vehicle lot) in various weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and handle vehicle keys.
• Visual acuity to inspect vehicles and review documents.
