Assistant Workshop Manager.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workshop environment.
  


• Manage and update maintenance records using ERP systems and Excel, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  


• Schedule services, open/close job cards, and track spare part usage through maintenance software.
  


• Prepare and submit reports and maintenance KPIs for management review.
  


• Coordinate with the stores team on parts requisitions, usage monitoring, and critical stock availability.
  


• Ensure fleet compliance with regulatory standards (LATRA, TRA, TBS, EWURA) and oversee road worthiness checks.
  


• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns during or after hours, including coordinating cross-border repair support.
  


• Work flexible rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and remain on-call for urgent repairs.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  


• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with heavy-duty vehicle maintenance, preferably fuel tankers and flatbeds.
  


• Strong experience with diesel engines, air brake systems, tanker safety components, and trailer systems.
  


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (maintenance tracking, pivot tables, reports).
  


• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fleetio, or other fleet management software).
  


• Familiarity with Tanzanian and regional transport and maintenance regulations.
