Description of Job Duty:

Full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank starting in August 2026. All areas of interest will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate and/or MBA levels.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Tennessee Technological University and the College of Business emphasize quality teaching and mentoring. The typical teaching load is 9 hours (3 classes) per semester. Instruction is provided in classroom, online, and hybrid learning environments. Research leading to high-quality refereed publications is required. Engagement with the business community and service to the university and the profession are expected.
 

Physical Demands:

Those typical of an office/classroom environment.

Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure track position to begin August 1, 2026.


Benefits Information:

Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. or DBA with a specialization in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited college of business. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will also be considered, but the degree must be conferred by 08/01/2026. Candidates should demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching, research, and service to the university and profession and should have a demonstrated teaching/research interest in AI-focused digital marketing and retailing.

Preferred Qualifications:


Teaching experience, including online/hybrid modalities. Professional experience and/or certifications.
