The new Center for Myocardial Research within the Cardiovascular Research Institute and Fuster Heart Hospital @ Mount Sinai in New York City is actively seeking dynamic and creative individuals for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions.
The successful candidate will be expected have an innovative research program in cardiovascular research with significant extramural funding (e.g., NIH etc.). Research target areas include cellular, molecular, and physiological myofilament biology, proteinopathies, structure, single molecule biophysics, gene therapy, etc. Candidates who perform research or are interested in investigating Duchenne dilated cardiomyopathy (Duchenne-DCM), are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) is Mount Sinai’s hub for both fundamental and translational cardiovascular science, focusing on myofilament function, molecular basis of complex diseases, genomics, cardiac bioengineering, cardioimmunology, metabolism, genetics, neurocardiology, senescence/aging, circadian rhythm/sleep and large animal preclinical studies. Applicants bridging any of these disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
