As an Assistive Technology Center On-site Coordinator, you will be vital in providing direct service and support to clients seeking assistive technology to enhance their independence and quality of life. What is assistive technology? Assistive technology (AT) refers to devices, equipment, or systems that help individuals perform tasks they may find difficult or impossible due to disabilities or specific needs.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Respond to client, technical assistance, assistive technology, and equipment loan requests.
- Complete individual and program monthly lending library, information and referral, recycle, and assistive technology demonstration reports for federal grant.
- Manage the pick-up, return and sanitizing process for our AT Lending Library.
- Provide one-to-one on-site and virtual AT demonstrations and trainings.
- Plan and conduct equipment drive and efforts to obtain donated durable medical equipment.
- Coordinate all NATADS database logistics and manage AT Center general aesthetics including organization and inventory.
- Provide assistive technology information and referral services through phone, email, and in-person.
- Utilize community resource people, places, and materials to provide needed solutions for clients.
- Appropriately document client information for grant purposes and quality case record and review.
- Provide follow-up reminders and communication for lending library loans.
- Work closely with the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator to develop and provide outreach, awareness, and marketing needs for the Assistive Technology program including but not limited to Information and Communication Technologies, social media awareness, and MailChimp E-Newsletter.
- Document client contacts and maintain client records.
- Provide assistive technology demonstrations, tours, loans, and evaluations.
- Monitor NATADS database and respond to all loan requests including but not limited to sanitizing, eligibility, documentation, and shipping.
- Other duties as assigned.

Interview process consists of 1st phone interview with Recruitment and Talent Development Coordinator and 2nd in person Department Specifics Team Leader.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Understanding of assistive technology and accommodation evaluations.
- Proven ability to be organized and prioritize work.
- Experience working with people with disabilities and ability to identify creative solutions required.
- Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and public in a professional and concerned manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal formats.
- Excellent computer skills required with ability to learn updates and support team members master.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to pass Mandatory Reporter within first 30 days.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift.
- Ability to transfer or move a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Access to reliable transportation for regular participation in work.
- Possession of valid Iowa Driver’s License and maintenance of good driving record.
