Position Purpose 

In collaboration with its two Senior Associates and Principal, this position will be part of a small team that carries out Client projects that aim to positively address the homelessness and housing crisis. The Associate will leverage their knowledge of, and experience working in the homelessness sector, to provide project management, analyze data, conduct stakeholder engagement, and develop reports for the Unit’s smaller scale projects at least 60% of the time. The remainder of the time, they will support similar components of the Unit’s larger scale projects. While this position is remote and will support Clients across the United States, this position will have a strong emphasis on Los Angeles-focused projects in the first year. As such, someone based in Los Angeles County is required. 

Working Hours

Standard hours Monday-Friday, eight hours per day. This position is mostly remote and must work during Pacific Standard/Daylight Time. LA County residents only.

Travel Requirements

Up to 15% local and domestic travel.

How You Impact Success

• Project Management. Provide strategic leadership across housing and homelessness initiatives by leveraging deep regional      expertise, managing complex projects, and producing high-impact reports and data analyses to inform public sector decision-making.
• Information Synthesis. Develop evidence-based policy and funding strategies through in-depth research, while leading inclusive stakeholder engagement efforts that center community and lived experience.
• Engagement and Outreach. Design and facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement processes to ensure that diverse perspectives inform project direction and that final policy solutions are grounded in equity, community priorities, and consensus-building.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Policy or other related field or equivalent work experience. 
• 3+ years of experience working in the homelessness sector including knowledge of program types, best practices, and resources.
• Lived experience with homelessness and/or housing instability is valued and will be considered alongside other      qualifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint) required.
• Proficiency in the following software: Adobe, Harvest, and Click-up systems are preferred.
• California resident of Los Angeles County required.
