The Ruiz Law Firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced litigation attorney to enhance our legal team. Attorney Ruiz has grit and determination and he's looking for a quick legal mind to help achieve the positive results our clients deserve. This position is for serious candidates only who are willing and able to work out of our Pearland office. The Ruiz Law Firm has earned a distinguished reputation for providing clients with the highest level of communication and professionalism. We have amazing results in personal injury, criminal and immigration law. This position is for a Texas licensed attorney with personal injury civil/ criminal experience who can add value to the firm with their tenacity and experience. We've seen exponential growth in the past few years and we're ready to add a qualified litigator to our ranks. Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft court documents, interact with clients and staff, and update and maintain files. You will gain experience and collaborate with our attorneys. This position is ideal for someone seeking to develop and grow in their law career.


Responsibilities 

  • Prepare petitions, briefs, motions, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research

  • Meet/ Interact with staff & clients

  • Prepare for and attend legal proceedings

  • Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates

  • Negotiate on behalf of clients

  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

  • Texas bar card

  • Client database or other source of potential clients

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients

  • Experience with civil/ federal litigation




Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
