Associate Attorney

We are actively seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join our litigation team in Pinecrest, FL. This full-time role offers a salary range of $105,000–$145,000, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in General Liability defense within a litigation-focused law firm and will play a key role in managing cases from inception to resolution. Based in Pinecrest, this position involves courtroom advocacy, strategic case management, and hands-on defense work for clients across the Pinecrest legal market. Candidates must hold an active Florida Bar license and be ready to take ownership of their litigation files.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of General Liability defense matters in Pinecrest, FL, including premises liability, medical malpractice, HOA, assisted living, and long-term care claims.
• Analyze and summarize medical records, reports, and case documentation to guide defense strategy.
• Draft motions, including motions for summary judgment, and present arguments at hearings in Pinecrest courts.
• Prepare clients for depositions and participate in fact and expert witness depositions.
• Draft, respond to, and manage discovery requests and related motions.
• Produce case evaluations, interim updates, pre-trial reports, and trial filings.
• Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, court proceedings, and trials in Pinecrest.
• Proactively manage cases to ensure timely and efficient resolution.

• 2–4 years of experience in General Liability defense litigation.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).
• Experience with premises liability, medical malpractice, or similar claims preferred.
• Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to draft complex legal pleadings and motions.
• Skilled in taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy capabilities.
