Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Location: Charleston, South Carolina. This is an on-site opportunity for an attorney who values working closely with colleagues and clients in a collaborative office environment.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina and have at least 1 year of directly relevant creditors' rights law experience. Experience involving bankruptcy, foreclosure, commercial collections, creditor representation, or closely related lender-side litigation is highly relevant.

Job Description

  • Represent financial services providers and other business clients in creditors' rights matters
  • Handle matters involving foreclosure, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real property, and regulatory compliance
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical analysis
  • Appear in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts as appropriate
  • Manage assigned matters while coordinating effectively with attorneys and support staff
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties
  • Contribute to a collaborative practice focused on excellent client service and efficient case management

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Bar license required
  • 1+ year of creditors' rights law experience required
  • Civil litigation experience strongly valued
  • Bankruptcy, foreclosure, commercial collections, creditor representation, or lender-side litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills
  • Courtroom experience preferred
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working collaboratively with a team
  • North Carolina Bar admission is a plus
