Associate Brand Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Brand Manager on our Dinners and Sauces business unit that reports directly to the Brand Manager of Rao’s Homemade and is based out of our Montclair, New Jersey office where we operate in a hybrid work environment.

The Dinners and Sauces business unit is made up of two brands.

Rao’s Homemade

is a high-growth brand on a mission to “elevate the art of eating” with an expanding portfolio that extends to multiple categories, temperature states, and channels. The Rao’s Homemade Brand is rooted in our iconic sauce and extends to frozen entrees, frozen pizza, soups, and pastas. Our

Michael Angelo’s

Brand embodies the simple pleasures of Italian life, offering classic Italian meals, just like you would make at home.

The Associate Brand Manager will strengthen their fundamental knowledge in brand marketing by leading initiatives that drive growth. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading projects with tenacity to achieve superior in-market results. Working on a small and agile marketing team means your work will have an immediate impact.

Job responsibilities:

Oversee the entire Dinners and Sauces marketing budget to ensure we execute our annual plans with excellence while maintaining the financial targets and obligations of the business.
Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, present learnings to leadership, and help develop solutions in response to in-market performance.
Become the Marketing lead for all business analytics, consumer insights, and industry trends by completing routine analytics on base business, newly launched products, and the competitive landscape.
Serve as key collaborator in organic social media strategy; working closely with agency partners on content, calendarization, coordinating product shipments, and approvals.
Preserve our brand equity and brand voice by developing and maintaining all brand assets, imagery, and promotional graphics for Rao’s Homemade and Michael Angelo’s.
Be a true business partner within the company, across many functions and levels of the organization, by confidently representing the voice of our consumers.
Play a key role in the Sovos Marketing function, and continually bring positive energy to the Dinners & Sauces business unit and throughout the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Recent college graduates and/or 0-2 years of relevant work experience preferred; passion for marketing and brand building required
Financial competency in budget management, consumer and category insights, and cross-functional collaboration
Has a proven track record of delivering results, including innovative ideas and methods to drive winning marketplace & financial outcomes
Excellent project management skills and high attention to detail, including ability to manage multiple tasks & deadlines, and prioritize against the most important business drivers
Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze situations and quickly develop options, outlining assumptions, trade-offs, & risks
A high-energy, passionate individual who leads by example and builds relationships on a foundation of trust & respect
Hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves approach to leadership and partnership in representing the consumer. Excellence in working with cross-functional team when needed to provide energy, ownership and involvement in major initiatives related to the products and brand with an adept ability to multi-task at all levels
An innate desire to hold themselves fully accountable for delivering results, with an internal fire to succeed. Can navigate, and even thrive, when faced with ambiguity
Ability to persuade, influence & inspire through both verbal and written communication
Comfortable being direct while forging strong relationships

The targeted budget for this position is $90 - 115K per year. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
