RESPONSIBILITIES Works closely with his/her supervisor to develop the annual marketing plan which is designed to achieve net sales and margin goals for assigned categories (International and eCommerce). Establishes business objectives, strategies, and tactics to attain Annual Operating Plan (AOP.) Achieves volume, net revenue, segment profit margin, and marketing mix targets.

Works closely with Operations and Production Planning, coordinating production with forecasted demand, monitoring product quality, and working on projects pertaining to specific products and categories. This individual will also work closely with other cross-functional departments (Quality, Packaging, R&D, Purchasing, Cost Accounting, Demand Planning, etc.).

Works directly with agency partners to develop creative strategies designed to help deliver annual consumer media, promotion, and public relations plans. Manages International marketing budget for food shows, industry events, POS, etc.

Actively involved in product training efforts along with assisting with customer visits when assigned channels are in scope.

Innovation: Leads future growth by identifying new product and line extension opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, developing consumer insights, determining specific market needs and potential, and building a business case.

Involved in new item development and item discontinuation/consolidation strategies for the category.

Works closely with the foodservice sales force to execute marketing plans to drive both net sales and profitable margin growth for assigned categories. Participates in strategy sessions with international brokers to accomplish sales initiatives, develops sales presentations or content, assists in addressing customer category/brand opportunities and challenges. Monitors marketplace dynamics and implements corrective action when and where necessary. Works closely with logistics on international documentation. Collaborates and builds plans with eCommerce sales representative to ensure optimizing online presence.

Makes periodic trips to the field and plant locations to get front line exposure to specific markets so he/she can recommend plans that exploit favorable conditions or correct problem areas.

Closely monitors inventories such that order fill is maximized while distressed sales due to too much inventory are minimized.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

A Bachelor’s degree.

2 years of marketing or marketing related experience.

A pattern of initiative.

Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

The ability to work effectively in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.

Strong analytical and time management skills.

Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated creative thinking skills.

Demonstrated aptitude and effectiveness in budget and financial management.

Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
