Assists in delivering chaplaincy care to patients, family caregivers and team members , as appropriate. Helps ensure religious and spiritual needs of patients, family caregivers and team members are met in assigned areas
Job Responsibility
1.Assists in delivering and arranging appropriate chaplaincy and spiritual care to patients, family caregivers and team members, as assigned.
2.Participates in the offering of religious and/or worship opportunities.
3.Responds timely to requests for chaplaincy/spiritual care.
4.Promotes a professional atmosphere through courteous communication with patients, family caregivers, providers and team members; attends/participates in departmental and site-based meetings.
5.Demonstrates active listening, emotional support, and empathy to patient/family caregiver concerns; services the needs of families of deceased patients, as required by staff.
6.Documents and maintains records, as required; facilitates the celebration of the sacraments and holidays, as appropriate; is available for Memorial services/Funerals.
7.Participates in the meeting of ritual and sacramental needs.
8.Assists in the coordination of clergy and pastoral visitors from the religious community.
9.Operates with direct guidance and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.

Job Qualification
•Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
•Completion of four (4) Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Units (1600 hours) or equivalent within a healthcare setting, from an accredited CPE center/program, required.
•Endorsement or recommendation by spiritual or religious organization.
•0-1 years of relevant healthcare Chaplaincy experience, required.
