Job Description:
The Associate Development Director supports the advancement and alumni engagement at Roseman University of Health Sciences by cultivating donor relationships, supporting fundraising initiatives and strategy execution, event support, and coordinating alumni engagement activities and outreach that strengthen philanthropic support for the university. This role manages a portfolio of donors and prospects, supports annual giving and stewardship initiatives, solicitation, recognition, and engagement activities aligned with institutional priorities.
Essential Functions
Donor Relations & Fundraising
Cultivate, steward, and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, corporations, foundations, and community partners.
Manage a portfolio of donors through ongoing engagement, communication, and stewardship activities.
Assist with development of fundraising appeals, donor communications, impact reporting, and engagement strategies.
Maintain accurate donor records, interactions, and fundraising activity within the fundraising donor management systems.
Track and report fundraising activity, donor engagement metrics, and related performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with Roseman University stewardship, reporting, and donor accountability standards.
Alumni Relations & Engagement
Support alumni engagement initiatives designed to strengthen relationships between the Roseman University and its alumni community.
Develop and implement alumni communications, outreach campaigns, networking opportunities, and engagement programs.
Identify and execute opportunities to increase alumni participation and donor conversion in philanthropic and university engagement activities.
Maintain accurate alumni engagement and contact records.
Event & Community Engagement Support
Support planning and execution of fundraising events, donor recognition activities, and alumni engagement programs.
Coordinate donor participation, sponsorship activities, and stewardship efforts associated with university events.
Other Duties
Regular attendance and a professional presence of 40+ hours per week in alignment with the University's flexible workplace policy.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and donor engagement activities.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years experience in fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations, nonprofit development or higher education advancement or
4-5 years of equivalent experience in fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations, nonprofit development, or higher education advancement.
Experience working with donor databases, Raiser's Edge CRM system preferred.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $62,000

Individual must possess the knowledge and following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:
Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders to support institutional advancement goals.
Maintain consistent and dependable on-site engagement, meeting the operational needs of the Philanthropy & Alumni Relations Unit.
Knowledge of fundraising, donor stewardship, alumni engagement, and relationship management practices.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse constituents.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with donor and institutional information.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with fundraising CRM system, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
Work Conditions
Performing duties and attending events outside the normally scheduled work hours occasionally occur and is required.
Work is primarily indoors but requires the incumbent to be in an outdoor environment when traveling between local campus buildings, off campus, and to other Roseman University facilities out-of-state.
Incumbent may be exposed to interruptions, distractions, frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among University personnel and/or students.
Required Physical Abilities
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, hand-written forms, and printed on paper.
Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents or items weighing up to 25 pounds.
