Job Description - Associate Director Admissions - SAIS (Admissions and Joint Degree Program)
We are seeking an Associate Director Admissions who will support recruitment and engagement initiatives through the administration of admissions systems, communications, events, and student ambassador outreach. This position leads and supervises the Admissions Fellows program, serves as the primary administrator for Slate CRM communications, workflows, templates, and reporting, coordinates recruitment campaigns collaboratively across SAIS's global campuses, and oversees operational planning and logistics for admissions events. The role supports admissions committee processes and strategic outreach initiatives while ensuring effective stakeholder collaboration, operational excellence, and seamless execution of activities that advance prospective student engagement and enrollment goals.
Reporting to school/division leadership, the Associate Director of Admissions will be responsible for managing a strategic and comprehensive recruitment strategy and application fulfillment process to meet or exceed new student enrollment targets.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership and management of an area of specialization.
Will be the direct manager for a team of admissions staff members—providing supervision, mentorship and professional development.
Serve as a chair in the Admissions committee process—serving as the key decision maker for various academic areas and scholar's programs.
Deliver presentations and represents school/division to internal and external organizations.
Collaborate in the development, production, and enhancement of all marketing materials with Marketing Communications, including the admissions marketing brochures, flyers, and application materials, and the preparation of digital assets.
Travel locally and nationally (as required) for recruitment fairs, conferences, and organizations.
Provide leadership in developing a calendar-based strategy for recruitment and outreach.
Organize regular general professional development activities for the Admissions Office.
Travel and night/weekend work may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Five years progressively responsible related experience
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional experience may substitute for required education, beyond a high school diploma/GED, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
