Associate Director Cloud Infrastructure

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS and Azure Infrastructure Architect to join our team as Associate Director. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure solutions on both AWS and Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale cloud projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture design and implementation of AWS and Azure cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including senior management, to define project requirements and develop scalable cloud infrastructure strategies.
Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable cloud architectures that meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Conduct regular reviews of cloud environments, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing efficiency improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture designs, standards, and operational procedures.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending relevant technologies and best practices for adoption.
Participate in budget planning and cost optimization efforts related to cloud infrastructure and operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience (8+ years) designing and implementing complex cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong expertise in cloud architecture patterns, including serverless computing, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications preferred.
Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
