Job Summary

This position is tasked with leading the strategic execution of all campus construction projects, emphasizing rigorous financial oversight, efficient resource management, and timely project completion. This role demands a strong focus on financial acumen to ensure projects are delivered on budget and meet predefined financial targets, leveraging the appropriate technology to enhance forecasting, tracking, and reporting capabilities.

This position will supervise assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 –

Financial Oversight: Direct the financial management of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.

Job Duty 2 –

Cost Management: Implement advanced cost-control mechanisms using technology like BIM and AI to predict and mitigate financial risks, ensuring projects remain within budget without compromising quality.

Job Duty 3 –

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, financial performance, and strategic direction.

Job Duty 4 –

Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, time, change orders and scope to evaluate project performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Job Duty 5 –

Regulatory Compliance and Auditing: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws and standards; conduct regular audits to uphold and document financial and regulatory compliance.

Job Duty 6 –

Project Execution: Oversee the complete lifecycle of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with financial objectives. Liaison with Campus Planning to ensure fulfillment of the program.

Job Duty 7 –

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

Minimum of ten years in construction management with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects with stringent financial controls.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Licensed Professional Architect or Engineer Registration as a LEED professional Experience working with BOR construction projects Experience managing all aspects of capital projects and all forms of contracts from Construction Management to Design Build Experience with ASHRAE 1891 preferred

Preferred Experience

Fifteen years of job related experience with clear progression of expanding responsibilities

e-Builder Experience, High Rise Construction

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Financial Expertise: Exceptional skills in financial management, budgeting, and cost control in construction settings. Technological Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of construction management software, financial analysis tools, and emerging technologies such as AI and BIM for budgeting and forecasting. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate teams, with excellent communication skills to articulate financial strategies and project statuses effectively.

Job Grade: S10

Salary Range $126,147.00 – $156,000.00

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (Will discuss schedule during interview)
