Job Purpose and Position Overview
All positions at HealthWell are designed to proactively further its efforts in meeting its mission. Specifically, persons in this position serve as the primary support and “right hand” to the Director, Development & Growth for corporate development outreach by completing important research, documentation, and external-facing strategic initiatives in cooperation with HealthWell’s Director, Development & Growth to help procure new corporate donations to the Foundation.

Areas of Responsibility
● Provide web-based pipeline intelligence for current and potential donors
● Manage full application process for funding from current and potential foundation donors
● Participate in the external-facing development process by attending and tracking live presentations and donor solicitations
● Assist with the qualification of new leads through the monitoring of multiple sources of information, including, but not limited to, PDUFA dates, FDA regulatory actions, and pharmaceutical/biotech company corporate pipelines
● Manage and regularly update master contact database of donors
● Maintain and create presentations to current and potential donors
● Manage current information resources to streamline processes
● Assist with general intelligence gathering on key competitors
● Attend trade shows/conferences to help with exhibiting and stakeholder outreach
● Maintenance of individual and non-corporate donation procedures and processes
● Maintenance of internal development quality control processes and other SOP’s
● Manage certain vendor relationships and junior/temporary personnel within Development
● Other duties as requested
● 20% - 30% travel
Technical Qualifications & Education Requirements
● Minimum of 5 years experience in a related role within the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector. Successful work experience within a non-profit a plus.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
● MPH, MS, MHSA, MBA or other relevant graduate training is a plus
● Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
● Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products
● Strategic thinker with documented experience routinely completing deadline-rigid projects
