Job Description - Associate Director, Field Systems and Technology

Role Summary\n\nThe Associate Director, Field Systems \u0026 Technology enables field teams to effectively execute by ensuring field\u2011facing systems\u2014primarily CRM and related tools\u2014are intuitive, aligned to field workflows, and clearly understood. Reporting to the Director of Field Enablement, this role focuses on adoption, usability, and field readiness, while also serving as the enablement lead for defining business requirements and CRM enhancements.\n\nThis role translates field needs into well\u2011defined system requirements and translates system changes back into simple, actionable guidance for field leaders and frontline teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nField Enablement \u0026 Adoption\n\n * Serve as the enablement owner for field-facing systems, ensuring tools support how the field works\n * Enable field leaders and frontline teams to understand what systems do, how to use them, and why they matter\n * Develop and deliver enablement assets (job aids, walkthroughs, FAQs, training content) tied to system usage\n * Support system rollouts and updates with a strong emphasis on change management, clarity, and adoption\n * Act as a trusted point of contact for field leaders on system usage, data visibility, and workflow questions\n * Partner with the Training team to help accelerate the learning of field representatives to improve their business acumen and territory planning skills.\n\n\n\nBusiness Requirements \u0026 CRM Enhancements\n\n * Translate field needs, execution challenges, and enablement priorities into clear business requirements\n * Partner with Field leaders, Analytics, and IT to define CRM and system enhancement requirements\n * Create and maintain requirement documentation (user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria) grounded in field workflows\n * Participate in solution design reviews to ensure enhancements are field\u2011friendly and enablement\u2011ready\n * Support UAT from a field enablement perspective, validating usability and clarity\n * Lead a cross-functional team to establish governance related to Veeva Platforms including Veeva CRM, which may include defining tracking for the use of key messages and marketing collateral, defining and implementing methods for improving call capture in CRM\n\n\n\nField Workflow \u0026 Tool Alignment\n\n * Ensure CRM and related tools align with call planning, account management, targeting, and execution workflows\n * Identify friction points where systems create confusion or slow execution, and recommend improvements\n * Help standardize best practices for how tools are used across the field\n * Reinforce consistent usage through enablement and leadership alignment rather than enforcement\n\n\n\nData Translation \u0026 Field Communication\n\n * Translate system data, logic, and outputs into plain\u2011language explanations for field audiences\n * Help field leaders understand how data is generated, where it lives, and how to use it effectively\n * Support leadership communications related to system changes and data interpretation\n\n\n\nCross\u2011Functional Partnership\n\n * Partner closely with the Director of Field Enablement to align systems work to enablement priorities\n * Collaborate with IT, field leaders, Analytics, Compliance, and vendors to deliver field\u2011ready solutions\n * Represent the voice of the field in system planning and prioritization discussions\n * Provide input into broader field enablement initiatives tied to execution effectiveness\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n * 8+ years of experience in Field Enablement, Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, or Systems Enablement\n * Experience defining business requirements for CRM or field tool enhancements\n * Strong ability to translate between field needs, system functionality, and technical partners\n * Experience supporting field leaders and frontline teams in a distributed sales organization\n * Excellent communication, facilitation, and change\u2011management skills\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva CRM or similar)\n * Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or complex B2B field environments\n * Familiarity with call planning, targeting, or territory workflows\n * Experience partnering with IT without being embedded in IT\n\n\n\n#LI-KB2 #LI-Remote\n\nU.S. Pay Range\n\n$174,300.00 - $235,700.00\n\nThe pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
