Associate Director Intermediary Distribution (South Territory)

Artisan Partners is seeking a dynamic and driven Associate Director to join our Intermediary Distribution team, supporting the RIA and Broker-Dealer channels across the South region. This role is ideal for an investment-minded and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. The Associate Director will work closely with the regional team to expand Artisan’s presence, deepen client relationships, and drive sales growth.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual’s geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Associates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon Firm and individual performance.

Responsibilities

The candidate can expect to:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients


• Proactively initiate daily outbound calls to prospect and engage targeted financial advisors


• Collaborate with the regional team to develop and execute a strategic territory business plan


• Profile financial advisors to understand their business models and identify new investment opportunities


• Implement client retention strategies and support ongoing relationship management


• Maintain and update Salesforce with accurate and timely information


• Analyze sales reports, leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools, to identify trends, uncover insights, and identify opportunities for growth.


• Stay informed on industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends


• Travel within the territory to conduct in-person meetings and attend industry conferences

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree required


• FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required


• 2–5 years of experience in intermediary distribution or wholesaling


• Interest in financial markets, investment products, and portfolio construction


• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment strategies


• CFA, CIMA, or CAIA designation preferred, or interest in pursuing a professional designation


• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail


• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the South territory; strong preference for candidates based in Georgia or Florida
