The Associate Program Director works under the general supervision of the Program Director and assists in the supervision and management of the program. The Associate Program Director will function as the back up to the Program Director and is the lead administrator in the Program in the absence of the Program Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Responsible for recruiting, retaining and managing all clinicians, interns and peers
- Develop and educate the workforce through instruction, supervision, and training that leads to licensing hours.
- Ability to master Electronic Health Record and all other software required to operate the program.
- Maintain a strong presence within ICL programs and local communities
- Ability to travel to various locations
- Attend local engagements and events presenting the Substance Use program.
- Good knowledge of the components of person centered care, treatment plans and evidence based techniques
- Good knowledge of the policies and organization of the regulatory agency and applicable legislation, regulations and rules.
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision, providing feedback and bi-weekly supervision.
- Ability to plan and organize treatment services, and to provide supervision and leadership to a culturally diverse group of staff.
- Ensure program is operating at optimum capacity
- Expect to provide clinic oversight in the event staff are on leave or vacant
- Ability to assist in the preparation of written proposals for new or expanded treatment services.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on at least one of the agency standing committees
- Ability to identify from the record and from observation, deficiencies in individual documentation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively manage resources, including money, material, time, and people
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with auditors, regulatory bodies, clients, staff, colleagues, public, other agencies and their staff and third party insurance personnel
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIERMENTS:
Education:
- Two years of supervisor experience
- LCSW, LMSW or BA with 350 CASAC Hours
- Bilingual in any language is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications and good computer skills
