Job Description - Associate Engineer - Water

Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking Associate Engineers to support the Water Sector to perform routine or entry-level engineering tasks. The Associate Engineer contributes to the development of engineering, designs, and construction of a distributive control system. This role will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing new equipment, interfacing with the client operations, maintenance, and the construction contractor.

Responsibilities

Review, with Operations and Maintenance, the contractor project submittals for compliance to the contract documents.Monitor and communicate project related issues, scope changes variances and contingencies that may arise during the construction of projects.Meet with and effectively communicate with project partners and project stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of field work.Assists with verifying the characteristics of a site, providing technical assistance on various issues.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.Maintain positive team and client relationships.Participate in and assist with strategic planning efforts.Be responsible for the preparation of project-related reports and fact sheets.Represent respective projects at meetings with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program is required with course work in electrical engineering and programming is desirable.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat is required.Preferred

1-3 years of direct applicable experience in the design of water infrastructure projects or construction management is preferred.Experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Instrumentation & Controls disciplines is preferred.Experience in engineering Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) or construction software is preferred.Good organizational and communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.Experience with RFIs and submittals.Self-starter attitude, a proactive, results-oriented focus, and be willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities.Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility, and growth in previous positions.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.Detail-oriented and highly organized and able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer-service attitude.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $125,000 per year.

Work Location:

Hybrid 1-2 days per week in the Playa Del Rey office location.
