Position: Associate Field Service Technician - Vegetation Management

Overview

Join our team as a Solar Site Vegetation Management Technician responsible for maintaining the grounds of cutting-edge solar energy installations. This role combines technical skills with outdoor work, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to renewable energy infrastructure while working in a dynamic field environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform vegetation management activities including mowing, herbicide application, and weed removal

Safely operate equipment including standard/zero-turn mowers, tractors, and weed whackers

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and solar site grounds

Work independently within supervised guidelines

Install and maintain network/cell equipment when required

Interpret basic circuit diagrams and service orders

Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of field experience

Ability to safely operate lawn maintenance equipment

Basic knowledge of fiber optic and network equipment

Experience with DC power equipment (preferred)

Working knowledge of Sonet or Ethernet systems

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Strong problem-solving and communication skills
