Associate - Fintech & Financial Services

Our client is seeking a motivated Associate to join their Fintech and Financial Services team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to develop expertise in these dynamic sectors while contributing to the firm’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal and business support to clients, offering expert advice as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the firm’s capabilities.
• Assist businesses in establishing operations and obtaining regulatory authorizations in Malta and other jurisdictions where the firm operates.
• Support clients in obtaining licenses, authorizations, and approvals from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and other regulatory bodies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, employment, and other legal contracts under supervision where necessary.
• Assist clients with regulatory and corporate procedures involving relevant authorities.
• Conduct legal research as required.
• Manage intellectual property registrations.
• Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership and reputation across various legal fields.
• Maintain the firm’s high standards of practice by serving clients’ interests diligently.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s overall growth.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years’ experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Experience in fintech and financial services is considered an asset.
