Associate, Fitness Instructor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a welcoming class environment, including greeting all students, learning names, and building connections 


• Teach high quality fitness classes in designated discipline that attract dedicated fitness practitioners 

• Provide instruction, modifications, cueing, demonstration, and adjustments or corrections that support students’ participation at all levels of experience 

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable class environment  


• Accommodate different levels of fitness and abilities by offering modifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Current GroupX certification relevant to the class discipline and/or nationally recognized certified personal trainer (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA) 

• Ability to teach regular timeslot consistently, with minimal absences or schedule changes

• Ability to support programs by subbing other classes 

• Effective, proactive communication with gym leadership and other fitness instructors, especially when planning time away or coordinating subs 

• Have a passion for fitness and an interest in climbing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Pay range is commensurate with experience and starts at $28.00 per hour
