Associate Hub Manager

Effectively manage manpower in all areas of the department Work with other departments within the distribution center to solve inbound merchandise processing and shipping problems Participate in daily planning meetings with all functional managers Assist Transportation Operations Manager in the development of plans to accomplish departmental goals Work on special projects as needed Ensure employee morale is kept at a high standard Manage activities designed to reduce the risk of accidents and decrease safety-related costs This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing or activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Must have 4 years of experience managing in a distribution environment High School diploma / bachelor\u0027s degree in Logistics or a related field preferred Ability to verbally communicate effectively (i.e., with staff, management, store personnel, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft office products to include Excel, Word and Outlook High confidentiality competence Ability to prioritize and organize work related tasks and special projects Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet tight deadlines Ability to assign work fairly and according to employee\u0027s competency Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawling Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing Frequent use of ladders and/or lift equipment Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more
