Job Description - Associate Information Security Engineer

You will be part of the Technical Incident Response

team responsible for analyzing and responding to a variety of security alerts and related computer, network or system data. Our job is to ensure that every global WSI location, associate and customer has the best experience possible using the vast array of technical solutions we provide.
The Cyber Threat Intelligence team is responsible for the specification, buildout, and support of Williams-Sonoma Cyber Security program/toolsets.
The vision of the Cyber Security Engineering team is to protect the company's information assets and ensure compliance with various industry/government requirements. Our solutions/tools allow our associates to engage in a cycle of continuous improvement while reducing the risk of internal and external attacks. By delivering the right level of secure solutions for the right reasons, we promote increased security, productivity, satisfaction, and revenue.

As an Associate Information Security Engineer, you will design, build, deploy, and support large, best in class enterprise level information security solutions.

Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all Williams-Sonoma information assets
Analyze existing security processes to identify improvement opportunities, recommend solutions and lead implementation
Proactive threat hunting and malware analysis using commercial and open source tools
Collaborate and educate various teams on cyber security
Monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures and monitor access control systems to assure appropriate access levels are maintained
Conduct computer forensic analysis, cyber-crime investigation, incident emergency response and investigations

Criteria:
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Technology or relevant education experience
Security+, ECH or other security related certifications desired
Understanding of security principles
Expertise with firewalls, identity management systems, next generation antivirus, vulnerability assessment tools, SIEM s, MFA, Active Directory, etc.
Understands event and log analysis
Understanding of networking technologies/protocols such as DNS, DHCP, web proxy, security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS), etc.
Problem-solving abilities and experience in gathering data needed in performing root cause analysis

The expected starting pay range for this position is $73,000 - $93,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
