The Associate, Investments Analytics role works closely with portfolio managers to perform actuarial and financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, pro-forma projection and big data analysis to improve portfolio performance, evaluate investment strategies, and support risk and capital management along with overall portfolio management. What You Will Do: Oversee asset cashflow generation, includes the use of the FactSet application and other in house developed platforms while working alongside asset managers to understand complex deal structures. Ability to work across functional groups to bring teams together and accomplish project goals and objectives. Ensure accurate and usable deliverables to downstream business partners Develop quantitative data driven analysis to evaluate prospective and existing investments Propose and document investment assumption for use in pricing, regulatory processes, and internal analysis Coordinate data requests between Fortitude and various third parties including, but not limited to our asset managers Build and develop tools and controls to be handed off to IT for automation and streamlining of our operational processes Assist in the analysis, review, and recommendation of controls for various investments processes Ability to work across functional groups to bring teams together and accomplish project goals and objectives Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for various market stress scenarios and capital initiatives of the company to perform capital and risk analysis such as asset modeling, cash flow testing and economic valuation. Review and enhance data flow and process efficiency. Build strong working relationships across the firm. What You Will Have: Bachelor’s degree required with minimum of 3 years of industry experience in financial services/insurance operations related function, such as, asset allocation, finance, actuarial or chief investment office roles. Very strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas and processes. Ability to work across functional groups to bring teams together and accomplish project goals and objectives. Strong analytic skills and a working knowledge of financial markets. Familiarity with Credit Securities, Structured Products, Whole Loans a plus. Ability to take direction and ownership of tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment. CFA, or other Actuarial, Risk, Finance credentials a plus. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Proficiency with more sophisticated data science techniques (SQL, R, MatLab and/or Python) a plus.
