About ICONIQ

ICONIQ is a global investment firm elevated by an extraordinary community. With over $100B assets under management, we seek to build resilient investment portfolios, partner with inspired entrepreneurs transforming industries, manage our clients’ lives and legacies, and create uncommon opportunities across sectors and society.

About ICONIQ Investment Management

ICONIQ Investment Management strives to deliver exceptional investment portfolios for some of the world’s most influential families and an array of mission-driven institutions. Our goal is to compound returns from diverse sources by harnessing the differentiated capital and strategic strength of the ICONIQ community, cultivated on a foundation of uncommon care.

The Opportunity: Associate, Investment Specialist

This role sits at the intersection of ICONIQ’s Investment Strategy and Client Advisory businesses, playing a critical role in shaping how our Multi-Strategy Investment Management platform is communicated and delivered. The platform spans public and private markets, including private equity, venture capital, co-investments, credit, real estate, real assets, hedge funds, and liquid strategies and is focused on developing differentiated investment solutions while leveraging ICONIQ’s global network to drive exceptional client outcomes.

The Investment Specialist will partner closely with investment teams, portfolio management, and cross-functional stakeholders to support investor relations, investment strategy, and platform communications by translating complex investment strategies, portfolio insights, and performance outcomes into clear, compelling narratives for internal stakeholders, clients, and prospective partners.

In addition, the role will serve as a central hub for content creation and organization, developing scalable resources across key areas such as investment strategy, portfolio construction, cash flow management, and broader family office solutions. This work will help ensure consistency, clarity, and impact in how ICONIQ’s platform is articulated across audiences.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of ICONIQ’s investment platform, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, cash flow dynamics, and strategies across public and private markets

  • Translate complex investment strategies, portfolio positioning, and performance insights into clear, compelling materials tailored for sophisticated investors

  • Partner closely with investment and portfolio management teams to accurately represent investment views, attribution, and market positioning

  • Act as a centralized hub for investment and client content, building and maintaining a comprehensive repository of materials across investment strategies, portfolio management, cash flow planning, and family office needs

  • Create and refine investor-facing materials including pitchbooks, portfolio reviews, white papers, and performance updates

  • Support investor relations efforts by preparing materials for client meetings, responding to investment-related inquiries, and ensuring timely, high-quality communication

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across materials, including leveraging AI tools and technologies

  • Collaborate with the Client Advisory business to train and develop team members in investment strategies and client-facing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, investment management, portfolio management, investment marketing, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, investment strategies, portfolio construction, and performance analysis across asset classes

  • Experience developing investor-facing materials such as pitchbooks, portfolio reviews, and performance reports

  • Proven ability to work closely with investment professionals and operate effectively in a highly analytical environment

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies is a plus; interest in leveraging AI to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and scale content development

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization to exceed client expectations

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our New York City office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

Compensation: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000 – $150,000 together with the benefits listed above.
