We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a warm, welcoming, and modern facility that provides treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment located in Auburn. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve.
WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.
Position Summary:
The Associate Medical Director will support the Medical Director in the clinical and administrative leadership of the opioid treatment program (OTP). The Associate Medical Director will assist in overseeing the medical care of patients, including medication management for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and related substance use conditions. Working under the supervision and delegation of the Medical Director, the Associate Medical Director will provide clinical oversight to nonphysician providers, nurses, and medical assistants, contribute to the clinical teaching of medical learners, and assist in providing regulatory oversight, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care delivery in accordance with federal and state regulations. Such delegation may include tasks including but not limited to those described by 42 CFR’s description of the Medical Director role:
Medical director means a physician, licensed to practice medicine in the jurisdiction in which the OTP is located, who assumes responsibility for all medical and behavioral health services provided by the program, including their administration. A medical director may delegate specific responsibilities to authorized program physicians, appropriately licensed non-physician practitioners with prescriptive authority functioning under the medical director's supervision, or appropriately licensed and/or credentialed non-physician healthcare professionals providing services in the OTP, in compliance with applicable Federal and State laws. Such delegations will not eliminate the medical director's responsibility for all medical and behavioral health services provided by the OTP.
